We are still celebrating the news of Santos’s expulsion from Congress and now we are ready to organize to take back Long Island in the special election in February.
At our December Community Meeting, we will share about our chapter’s plans for engaging in the special election and how folks can join us. We are thrilled to be joined by Nia Alvarez-Mapp, the Organizing Director of New Yorkers for Equal Rights, who will be sharing about the upcoming ballot campaign in 2024 to win legal protections from discrimination for all people within the New York constitution. We will also discuss other upcoming campaigns for building power on Long Island in 2024.
