Join Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Long Island for our monthly community meeting!
This month, we are excited to welcome Dan Gelbtuch from the IOWA Project to offer us an introduction to his work bringing in Jewish wisdom to justice work using the Jewish tradition of Mussar.
At our June community meeting next week, we will learn more about Mussar as a practice for finding sustainability and meaning in our organizing together.
The IOWA project works to adapt ancient Jewish spiritual wisdom such as Mussar to be applied in today’s context. We know there is a never ending list of why we must continue organizing together and we need a deep well of resilience to draw from. Mussar is one Jewish offering for finding sustenance to continue fueling us. We hope that by learning this together as a community we can continue to build a resilient community fighting for the long haul.
