Join Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Long Island for our monthly community meeting! This month we are gathering to discuss the Jewish case for abortion access and learn how we in New York can take action for abortion justice.
Many of us are still in shock, rage and grief at the news from the Supreme Court revealing that extremists on the court are planning to overturn Roe v Wade. But we also know that reproductive justice movement leaders and those at the forefront of this fight have been sounding the alarm for many months.
As a Jewish community, we know our tradition has a lot to offer on this topic. And as New Yorkers, we know that people from states with more restrictive access to abortion will continue to come here to seek care.
At our May community meeting next week, we’ll reflect on what our Jewish tradition teaches us about abortion access and learn about laws we can support to increase abortion justice in New York State.
