Passover & Immigrant Justice: A Long Island Teach-In

RSVP

Description

On Passover, Jews recall our foundational story of struggle for liberation and recommit to fighting against injustice wherever we see it.

This year, the connection between Passover and today's struggle for immigrant justice couldn't be more clear. The targeting of immigrants isn't only happening at the border — the national climate of fear mongering, dehumanization, and criminalization of immigrant communities has devastating repercussions right here at home on Long Island too.

Join us for a Passover teach-in, where we will:

Understand about what immigrant communities are facing in Trump's America through the lens of the Passover story

Learn about visionary campaigns to fight for immigrant justice nationally and locally

Commit to taking action together

We're thrilled to be joined as a partner on this event by the Roundtable Social Justice Committee at Temple Beth Torah.

Light refreshments and coffee will be served. Feel free to reach out with questions to Kayla Glick, New York Organizer, at [email protected].
